Suffering comes from resisting pain. Shame comes from judging ourselves. Consciously and consistently practicing acceptance and compassion towards ourself is so important. Especially when we’re moving through rough patches.
Next time you find yourself is a messy situation, experiencing shame or suffering, just remember this. I accept myself and I’m doing the best I can. I know you are probably a lot more tolerate towards your friends than you are towards yourself. Come on, give yourself a break.
